Hi guys,

Recently got a second monitor and i'm currently running extended mode, however when I enable crossfire my 2nd monitor goes blank without any signal. Is there anyway around this as i'd like to have it on if possible XD

Regards Jamie

x fire shouldn't be the issue and you don't really have to sell your cards.

Buying a single 7950 is a poor choice:

(580 SLI was the closest I could get to 7850 xfire)

Try restarting the monitor each time and see if that makes a difference

Tried restarting the computer & monitor a few times but no luck, when I open CCC and go into the CrossFire tab it says the following " Select the desktop that you want to configure " and it gives me the option of either 1 or 2, but whichever monitor ends up being secondary just loses signal.

On a side note... is it possible to hook up one card to each monitor so it would split the power therefore run two games simultaneously better?

No. If you want to use crossfire, both monitors have to be linked to the same card, and it's simpler if its the top one.

Have you tried swapping the cards round?

It could be a weird profile issue. Silly question, maybe: when you enable crossfire, and the second screen goes blank, have you *then* tried going into CCC and re-enabling the second screen?

If that works, just leave crossfire on once its done.

Resolved the problem! For some reason the 2nd monitor wouldn't appear in the CCC when enabling crossfire but it just took some adjustments in desktop management and there you have it :) thanks all for your help.
