Crossfire Motherboards

What chipset mother boards should I be looking at for a future proof motherboard.

I want to go ATI graohics so need crossfire, but do I need P35 , 975, or will only x38 and upwards do real crossfire?

p35 always has an x16 and x8 X38 and x48 have 2 x16 PCI-E Slots

what about 975

like on the Asus P5W64-WS Pro
boards, are they worth looking at for crossfire?

975 boards will give you x8 and x8 for Crossfire, also you may find difficulties working with the 45nm CPU, although I see Asus have updated the BIOS for the P5W64-WSPro board.

If want future proof then get x38/x48 board or look at the 790FX boards if you are going Crossfire.

X38 or X48 all the way. Getting rather affordable now

I've got Gigabyte GA-X38-DQ6; can't x-fire, don't really intend to atm, but really happy with all the other features of the board.
Worth a look.
