Crossfire not working :/

Hey guys,
Just bought an additional 6870, and I cant seem to get crossfire to work!

I have an Asus P5k motherboard.

The card is detected in device manager, but under the hardware section of CCC the second adapter is showing as disabled.

The crossfire bridge is installed, I have uninstalled/reinstalled the drivers, I have updated the bios to the latest version, nothing :/

Please help!

Thanks for all the responses guys, I've done all but get a new crossfire cable, which I have ordered, but to no avail.

I have actually just caved and bought a new mobo/cpu combo, have gone for an i5 with a new mb and ram, as I have read bad things about the p5k and crossfire, fingers crossed this will work!
