at the minute i have an ATI HD 3780, does everything i need it to do, its just starting to get a little bit laggy when playing some games. would it be worth getting a 2nd 3780 from ebay for about £20 and strap it to the existing one, boosting the original one, or should i just scrap the existing one and go for a new 68xx? the budget isnt the issue, the issue is, i dont want to waste the money if i wont see much of a benifit seeing as i dont play many large scale 3D AAA titles.

Generally get the best single GPU you can afford, though crossfire has got better with such an old GPU it's probably not worth it! What PSU do you have?

I had CrossFire 3870s back when they came out and they were pants.

If you're playing AAA titles, wait and get a 7970 (if you're playing at 1920x1200+) or get a 6950.

Depends on what sort of games you play? A new card would be my choice, something like a 6850/70 or a 6950 depending on what you want to play and at what resolution you want to play. Give us your complete system spec and what you want to play and we can give some better, more tailored advice.

Mainly i play FM20XX or WoW on the PC, my main gaming platform is a 360, so as i said, no AAA titles. the GPU is mainly for driving the desktop and for GPGPU purposes
