hi all sorry to ask a possibly silly question, but i purchsed a new m/b from overclockers today, and the guy at the desk told me the m/b i asked for ( gigabyte ep45 ds3r ) they cant find in the warehouse would i like an alternative, so i said as long as its a p45 m/b with crossfire and raid itll be fine, he reccomended the next gigabyte up at an extra cost of 5 pounds or so, anyway i got the board home and by the looks of the m/b itself it has only one pci express lane not 2 for crossfire like i asked, can anyone confirm this as the guy at o/c said all p45 m/b's are crossfire, my new mb is the gigabyte ep45-ud3r, no mention of crossfire on the website.

cheers for that had a few beers, and ive only just had chance to get it out of the box, thought i was going mad or something, was hoping to get it in today, well that will have to go back then, as i specifically wanted crossfire and raid, as for the one slot on a p45 m/b some of the cheaper m/b's dont actually state crossfire but appear to have 2 pci express lanes, this one which is more expensive dosent, ha just my luck, needs to go back cheers m8
the one i asked for does say its crossfire thats why i asked for that specific one, the more expensive one as a replacement dosent state crossfire, but the shop assistant said it does that's all, ill just take it back when i have time and swop for one that does have crossfire cheers for any replies guys
