Crossfire or not??

Hi there.

Wonder if someone could help me, As I am having trouble Crossfireing my 2 R9 290.

Wonder if I have bought the right motherboard. as Crossfire is not coming up in Catalyst Control Center.

One Card runs at 1000 core 1250 mem
And the other 1000 core 1300 mem


I5 2500k
Asrock Z77 PRO4 M
850 cosiair
Clean install of Windows 8.1

So I got he latest Bios, Removed all the drivers(DDU worked very well)..

Removed the 2nd Card...

Install 14.4...

Added the 2nd card...

Still nothing....

did you restart the PC?? I know im going on about it but it will work i had the exact same problem

when you added the second card did windows install the drivers or did you manually install them?

Maunally install them.

Which slots are your cards in? The manual mentions putting the cards in PCI-E slots 1 and 4 - you haven't got them in 1 and 3 have you? Might be worth trying the second card in the other slot, just in case the instructions weren't translated correctly.

Have them in 1 and 3, Card won't fit in 4 as its a Silverstone SST-SG10B.

was going for a small build.

maybe I should just crossfire my two 2 280x for this small build?

I think that's your problem. Looks like your board only allows Crossfire if the second card's in slot 4, not if it's in slot 3.

Thanks for your help, Any boards out there that I could get? that would let me crossfire in my case? and to fit a i5 2500k
