I'm new to this crossfire business. When I bought the cards, I tested them both, on their own and together no problems at all.

I've just changed my loop to acrylic tubing, popped both cards into the loop and now i've got some problems.

I was happily playing AC, crossfire enabled, working fine and then went out to get breakfast, came back put it back on and now it'll play for ten minutes or so and then crash, in the manner if the overclock on the cards was too high but they are at stock.

Try to load up Black Ops 3 and i'm displayed with a red screen straight away. GTA V crash in the same manor as AC.

Any other game i've tried plays fine, BF4, Dirt Rally, Tomb Raider.

Could be hardware/connection problem so take one card out or remove the crossfire bridge and test with single card. It might be as simple as removing replacing the crossfire bridge or cards though since I had a similar problem once and thats what seemed to cure it.

edit: if some games are working then maybe some other problem. Have you got the crossfire logo enabled to check if the game is running it crossfire mode?

The Red screen tells me your cpu overclock/memory might not be stable.

I'll try the ram.

I've used a couple of voltage calculators and they say it should only pull 600w when under load, the PSU is just under a year old and not been used for anything major at all.

Red screen from my 7970 days sounds live not enough volts to gpu.

If afterburner installed set power limit to full (+20%) iirc and set your gpu clock to 1000/1600 and see how you get on.

Edit just seen you been playing with your loop mite have changed the bios switch on the card. Make sure they both to the left and try again. If same try both to right

I didn't even realise these cards had bios switches, they were odd. I'll have another go!

EDIT:

Now i'm not getting any red screen just "Page fault in nonpaged area" I've ran chkdsk and everything came back okay. I think my RAM is dead as it was causing me problems yesterday too :/

I nuked the drivers, reinstalled 15.11.1.

So I run Valley/Heaven etc and get 99% usage on both cards, woo!

Older games as above, working fine.

Trying to play AC Syndicate. Works great high usage on both cards, crashes about 10 minutes in.

Black Ops 3, crash as soon as I start it.

Both games work fine on both cards on their own, no crashes and everything is fine. I know both games are a bit dodgy on profiles at the moment but I wouldn't expect it to crash?

Power limit is set.

I'm going to try a driver roll back and see if that changes anything.
