Crossfire question

Afraid not, x1900 GT can't be paired with the pro as the pro is Crossfire 2 which uses the new internal bridges like SLi, the x1900 GT is the old Crossfire 1 which did Crossfire the master card way.

Notice the 2x gold connectors at the left of the top edge, x1900 GT doesn't have those so can't be connected.

Yeah, you'll either have to source another X1900GT (I believe later drivers allowed "masterless" and "Dongleless" Xfire with this card) or an X1900 Master Card. Crossfiring with an X1950 Pro or GT is completely impossible, due to the mentioned Crossfire2. More importantly the X1950Pro/GT use a completely different Core.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but im also thinking about getting the x1950 pros for crossfire. Do i need a crossfire 2 board (is there even such a thing) or just so long as the board is marked as supporting crossfire?
