Hi guys, I am right in saying you can crossfire any 7900 card together?

If so, what would performance difference be between a 7970 crossfired with a 7950, compared to 2x 7970's? I'm intrigued.

I'm sure someone has possibly asked this question before, in which case, I appologise for opening a new thread.

Sockky. :)

I believe the 7970 would have to drop clock speeds down to the 7950 spec to work but don't quote me ;)

Yeah you can Crossfire a 7970 with any 7950 or 7970, It will not clock down, both will work on their max clocks.

But I prefer to use the same card, same model and same everything.
That is why I have 2x 7950 MSI TFIII.

Well, if i do decide to get a 7950, it will be under water and reference 7950 has the same PCB as a 7970 if i remember correctly. So both cards will look the same :p

Hmmm. This is probably going to happen.

Thanks for the help both of you :)
