Unless I enable v-sync in games , when I have crossfire enabled I'm getting screen flickering, like faint lines going down the screen , really noticeable in dark areas , anyone got any idea how to solve the issue without enabling vsync or disabling xfire ??

Cheers , i tried the locking of fps to 60 in bf4, the lines went but I got really bad tearing for some reason ! Its not that bad , I just find myself lookin for it all the time as it annoys me :( .. Tried loads of different stuff aswell like forcing vsync on in ccc but it hasn't worked !

Good programs for forcing vsync, if the in-game vsync isn't playing ball - D3DOverrider or Radeonpro!

Either will do the trick! Tbh, Radeonpro is an essential app for any AMD owner in my experience. In fact, it is such a good program I am keeping it installed to run sweetfx in my nvidia cards!

You got a link to Radeonpro will definitely check that out :) cheers !

Try using vsync but using afterburner to set an fps limit of 59. I find this removes most (but not all) of the input lag.

That's a good idea cheers , how do I set fps limits in afterburner ? Cs go isn't so bad as I can disable crossfire and it goes , but I'd rather not do that as when I enable it again gotta disable ups and stuff in afterburner

Will try that and the Radeon pro thanks ! Do I have to do this for very game and do I enable v sync in game ? Also if I have v sync enabled , do you have that OpenGL on in ccc ??

Ah cheers you two really appreciate the help will try both when I'm next on computer , will probably be back in a day or 2 haha ... With the Radeon pro , can I still use afterburner ? And ccc which is always on anyway ? Or have I got to close them ?

Tried doing this last night in bf4 Matt , but it didn't seem to limit my fps ? I added the exe file aswell ? Is there something I'm missing ?

Yeah I tried both cheers ... Ah yeah it could have been because of mantle never thought of that, as it doesn't even register fps in afterburner when using mantle does it ? I'll give the cfg a try tonight ! The input lag isn't too bad as it is but it's still there and noticeable so would like to reduce it as much as possible :)

Will do that cheers Matt, I take it it's just the same as adding into cs cfg , just open the file in notepad and add those 2 values in ??

Suppose it's the same as most things in the pc world trial and error ... Do you use the fps cap trick on all the games you encounter tearing/input lag with ?

A lot of games don't seem to have triple buffering nowadays ? Do you have to do the same as bf4 and disable that via a config ?

Ah I see .. Thanks for the help .. I just realised last night I can enable windows mode in games that have v sync problems and tearing , just aslong as I don't need crossfire , which is ideal for cs go ! I cap the fps at 120 anyway
