Hi I have two radeon 7950s ready to go into a new build however one of the cards is a powercool (I think) and the other is a HIS. The powercool one is overclocked apparently to 880mhz compared to the HIS which is at 800mhz. Is this going to cause a problem when using crossfirex? If so what is the best option, OC the HIS card or get rid of the OC on the powercool one?

Cheers

CrossFire will work quite happily with the cards at different speeds.

You shouldn't have any problem overclocking the HIS to the same speed as the PowereCool if you wish.

Both cards will also likely overclock a fair bit higher than 880MHz.

Ill likely keep them the same and OC if and when required. OC these cards is it easy and is it done via software which is supplied with the cards? If theres anything else you could add it would be appreciated. Just simply a little point in the right direction to bump the HIS card up to 880mhz would be good.

Thanks Surveyor.
