im about to purchase either a 2560 X 1440 monitor or a 120 hz currently running a o/c 7950 and wanted to make the most of it

was thinking of going crosssfire however my board is 16/4x (gb z68ap d3) in crossfire.Ive read multiple sites saying small loss others say major,i dont really want to change my mb at this moment in time.is this worthwhile tbh i thought a 1080 22" would be fine but got the bug and want more, atm im playing bf3 mainly and i spend more time pc gaming now then i thought i ever would tbh

budget is around £650 max

1) is crossfireworthwhile to do on this board

2) which also is better option in mosts opinions higher res screen or 120hz

inputs and advice appreciated

Tbh i would hold off on crossfire till you have another board as i think when you have another card in both lanes will drop to x4 i know my mobo which is x16 x16 and with crossfire they both drop to x8 ( not sure on this maybe someone could shed some light ).

so to answer your ?

1 ) i would'nt

2 )i would personaly go for the 120 hz but thats just me

hope this helps

With that board you'd be running 4x on both lanes if you crossfire, so based on that...no.

With monitor, as i currently game on 120hz...i'd recommend 120hz :L Never tried HD+ before though, from what i've been told...once you've gone HD+ you wont go back...so meh.
