Crossfire x16 and x4 performance

He only had a budget of around 70 for board....i wanted to know if there is a performance decrease with x4 than x8....but thanks for the options...

Slightly off topic, but wouldn't a FX-6300 be better instead of a Richland CPU for crossfire, for around the same price?

The only reason I can see for using the FM2 platform is if you're on a tight budget and need a decent IGP.

Richland is based off Piledriver, they use the same core architecture. The only difference is that the 6300 has L3 cache while Richland doesn't (in order to keep power usage low with the IGP). Hence the 6300 should perform better per clock and will last longer than the Richland CPU in terms of performance.

Basically the FM platforms is AMD's low end while the AM platforms are their high end.
