You guys know if you can crossfire two slave 1900XT-X radeons with the latest drivers? or I have to buy a master? thanks

No you don't need a master card or dongle now, you can use 2x slave cards in crossfire as its done in the drivers now, since the CAT 6.11's in November i think.

EDIT: Yeah it was the 6.11's, taken from the release notes for them :-

New Features

This release of Catalyst® introduces software CrossFire™ support for any combination of Radeon® X1900 and X1950 installed in a system running either the Windows XP or Windows XP Professional x64 Edition operating system.

No master cards are required anymore. :)

Anybody checked to see if there is any performance difference between hardware dongle/cable and the new software mode?

I think that the inclusion of this in the drivers has messed up the crossfire mode detection a bit - occasionally on my master+normal with cable setup, I get screen flicker/corruption. A reboot cures it. Only seems to have started happening the last couple of months - about when I upgraded to 6.11... :D
