Whats cards will work in crossfire with a HD 2900XT? any of the new HD2*** series?

I know Sli isnt really worth it in games at the minute, is this the same for crossfire?
 
well i was planning on using a 8800GTS 640mb but i can get the 2900XT for under £200 and just wondered if performance would be improved by using a 2600XT along side it?
