i have one hd3870 512mb in my computer so far, and i was thinking of getting another 3870 and crossfiring it. is it worth it, shall i wait for the price of the 3870 to drop?
also is a 500watt psu good enough to supply power to (if i crossfire)

intel core 2 duo 2.00ghz (that may be overclocked to 3.00ghz in the near future)
2gb pc2-6400 800mhz ram
2x hd3870
1 hdd 250gb
1 dvd/rw drive
and the LED's and fans in my case

thanks in advance

is your gfx card any good? Im doing the same but they are out of stock :p not entirely sure if I should have got 2 rad cards but my board is a crossfire and the cards are cheap imo compared to the nvidias.

Overall, I'm impressed with single 3870 performance personally, I have been primarily using a Powercolor 3870 PCS (800 \ 1200 clocks) and I would recommend this one over any stock clocked cards. (Also have a stock clocked card - see other thread for explaination!)

the full name of my card is the HIS ATI Radeon ICEQ3 HD3870 XT 512mb GDDR4 (on the overclockers website) In my opinion the graphics card is very good, it plays Half Life 2 Deathmatch at 180-250FPS (sometimes more) with MSAA 8x AF 16x and all settings highest. (reflect all, HDR enabled) so i get good FPS but this game runs in the Episode 1 source engine. Episode 2 (newest VALVe half life game) plays at around 120-180 when theres not loads of fighting, but when lots of fighting and explosion and landscape the lowest it has got is 84FPS. this is with the same settings (AA8x AF16x and everything full) Unreal tournament 2004 plays fine, i'm going to buy UT3 soon when i get the money. The only real reason i was asking if it was worth crossfiring, was will it increase my frame rate 'SIGNIFICANTLY' and will it run Crysis better that way. (havent got crysis yet)

Also would a 500watt PSU power 2 cards.
