Crossfire?

Iv'e recently started playing Arma 2 wasteland mod,And im not really impressed with how my computer handles the game,So crossfire or buy a new card?

I've heard anything lower than high for the individual settings in the graphics advanced options causes it to run on the cpu as apposed to gpu.. not sure how true this is tho.

Also make sure Video memory is set to default.

I play Dayz a lot @ 5760x1080 and get around 70fps but this can dip down to 40ish on certain area's, i use no Atoc, AA, AF or postprocess Effects

Not for Arma specifically but same stuff i guess, hope it helps

I wouldnt make hardware choices based just on the Arma 2 game tbh

Would I be right in saying Arma 2 does not ultilize crossfire? I would imagine radeon pro would be able to force it should that be the truth though.I'm sure someone will correct me pretty sharpish on that

I don't think it does properly no, I'm using the -winxp launch command which helps (i think)

1st card is full usage, 2nd card around 70-90 and its still doesn't feel the best !

Ive never tried playing it at 1920x1080 so not sure on comparisons

There also the ArmaA2OA and ArmA2 files you can edited the max frames ahead

GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1;
GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=1;

Both mine set to 1 which helps too

RadeonPro allows you to try different crossfire profiles for a game that doesn't natively support it. There's no guarantee that it would work though.

Thoiugh if hybridtheory is getting 70-90% on one card and 100% on the other, seems like it must be supported.
