What is the budget?

University of London halls are sometimes rented out during the summer months. Also, EasyHotel.com looks cheap.

Max £20 - 25 each, preferably less

You really REALLY don't want to come to Croydon. Not unless you looking to get stabbed, mugged or just plain chaved to death (this is where over exposure to chavs literally cause death).

Unfortunately I am not aware of cheap accommodation, unless you just get arrested for a minor offence for a night.

I'm from Croydon, and it's not that bad. Try South Park hotel, there is a holiday inn locally. £25 isnt much to be honest, you might aswell buy a tent and camp somewhere.

Croyden is nowhere near as bad as you are making out. It's not Brooklyn.

croydon aint that bad just gotta use lil common sense thats all. i think theres a new travel lodge in middle of croydon near whitgift meant to be very cheap.

Hey come on, this is one of the attractions of Croydon. There aren't many places you can go to where you can amuse yourself so much watching their underclass public activities. I'd take a camera :D

The getting arrested idea was suggested by my friend, but I voted against it!

As for being stabbed, well meh, they stab me, I stab them back and make sure they dead... *Growls*

But im only there for Pure Pwnage, food, and sleep, then into London Sunday!

Hopefully Be ok...

Excellent. Croydon is one of those places where you see fat people in track suits. I guess it's the thought that counts huh :D

Oh yeah and the term Croydon Facelift was coined there and you will notice it on many of the women. Look out for hair stretched back so tight it raises their eyebrows :D

Wonder how the weekend is over already....

Just need to decide what to do in London, we don't have that much spare cash, but want to see as much as we can, do not realy know what is worth seeing etc however!

well science musuems almost quite interesting but to be honest dont spend much time in london dont like the place theres big games arcade can't spell it but give it a go trocadero sounds right prob isnt spelt right.

There are much better things to do that visit the Trocadero... unless you enjoy watching asian kids busting moves on those dancing games.

You can push your way through HUGE Saturday shopping crowds at Oxford St just so you can say "Been to Oxford St". Then wander along Tottenham Court Road to see a butt load of computer, hi-fi tv... etc shops and the largest Sony Centre in Europe (or is it the UK?).

Go visit Russell Square and say "oooh a bomb went off here!". Oh and if going from East Croydon into town go to Victoria as its easier to get to places during the weekend. If going during the week ALWAYS go to London Bridge unless you absolutely have to go to Victoria.

To really see more of London try to use buses and not the tube, so I advise get a day travel pass so you can go anywhere you want. Maybe Harrods and the other posh stores over that way? Harrods is quite interesting, but it is just a giant department store.

Take the train to London bridge and walk along the river all the way to Waterloo. There's loads to see along there including the Tate Modern, Oxo Tower, loads of shops and boutiques, loads of bars, restaurants, the London Beach, underground skate park just to mention a few. That will take up a whole day. All free to visit. I normally just scoot into the Tate Modern to have a look at the display in the big hall which changes all the time and skip the rest as it's a bit obscure for me. But you might want to spend a little time and have a run through the whole display.
