Recently upgraded from my 5 year old Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) 3000Mhz C15 kit to the Crucial Ballistix 32GB (2x16GB) RGB 3600 MHz C16 (BL2K16G36C16U4BL) kit. Needed 32GB for Flight Sim, plus upgrading to a new platform soon, so wanted faster memory as well. Steal at £160 IMO!

My CPU and motherboard are over 5 years old (bought August 2015!) so quite happy XMP worked out of the box. I was able to overclock them to C15 as well! Though can't get them to do even 1Mhz over 3600, possibly hitting my Z170 motherboard or my CPU's limitation.

I'm deciding between upgrading to the Ryzen 5950X, or waiting for AM5/LGA 1700 next year, and wondered, has anyone else tried overclocking this memory kit on a Ryzen platform? I heard Ryzen 5000 series like raw Mhz, so was hoping I could get 3800 C16, or C17 on such a platform.

Cheers

Just got the non RGB version of this today and it's got me probably 3-4 FPS in FS2020 when it's getting hammered at Heathrow. Was running the Corsair LPX 3200 so not too shabby considering it runs at about 30-40 FPS most of the time.

Be interesting to see what Zen 3 can do for it.
