Crucial Ballistix memory help

hi i have 2gb of Crucial Ballistix 5300 c3 and i have them overclocked to 800mhz but if i lower the volts from 2.2v to 1.9v it will pass memtest but if i run orthos it will fail after 5 mins but as soon as i put the memory voltage back up its fine but why would they be ok with memtest and not orthos ? thanks in advance

I mate

because Orthos is much more demanding than Memtest

try it a 1.9V but at it´s rated speed 333mhz and 12-3-3-3, in Orthos and see if they are stable

anyway for normal use I do not worry about Orthos failling,cause this is not " real life" situation for the PC

also is 1000mhz 5 5 5 15 better than 800mhz 4 4 4 12 by a lot

On Intel systems it is more MHz based than timings. I would stick it at 1000MHz personally. Benchmark each and we will see which does best

They're exactly the same. 200MHz per refresh.
