Crucial Memory Warranty?

Guys,

anyone got any idea on the length of warranty from Crucial?.
trying to find out if its 1 year or lifetime (bought direct from Crucial, not OC)

You'll need your purchase receipt and the labels on the RAM intact, and preferably the crucial packaging too.

No need for the receipt. They'll have all the details as you purchased it from them.

nah you just need the modules, doesn't matter where you bought them. But yeah the labels must be intact on the memory.

yeah, luckily still have all that. gonna give them a call on monday and see if they'l RMA it

I sent mine out on the 24th and received a new set the next day! amazing rma service

now considering im in the same city as crucial, with any luck i'll recieve my ram before i send it back to them !! lol..

i dropped my rma'd ram into their office in East Kilbride and got another set back within 48hrs.

Crucial are a benchmark on how companys should be run imho.
Been using Crucial RAM in system builds for nearly 10 years and never had a DOA/faulty stick :eek:

well, called them, got a RMA no and posted it back to them, hopefully shouldnt take to long to get it returned...

I'm about to RMA a set of Ballistix 5300 tomorrow.

So all I need to do is put the ram in a parcel and post it with the RMA number on the front? (I have the original packaging)

Or do I need to put a letter in it with my details on it aswell?

I wasn't gonna bother with a letter as I told someone all my details on the phone when I got the RMA number, but best to be safe.

I wasnt given any details other than to write my RMA no on the box when returning the RAM, however i put a slip of paper inside with my customer details. They also never mentioned anything about sending the parcel recorded delivery, i just sent it first class. Hopefully their shouldnt be any probs...

I thought they might have email'd me with a link to something like that (they have my customer details, so will have my email address) but they never did, to late to do anything about it now. Everything is in order other than not sending it by trackable means.

Hmm, I sent off 2x512mb of pc4000 nearly 2 years ago to crucial and even then they told me to send it special delivery. Sending something fairly valuable or important with means of prove of postage is pretty risky.
Also when they provide you with the RMA number it is usually after taking details about the ram and of course your details which im sure they asked. There is no need to provide any more literature.
I just hope they received it and next time you don't send anything off again without proof
