crucial memory ?

Hi All I am after some memory ,and wondered if Crucial are a good make ? i,ve seen a cheap priced 4gig set on the net ,i,m not a gamer so not to worried about that side of things ... these are the ones ..

Yeah they're standard memory is grand.

Tho that kit is CAS7 PC2-8500. You'd be better buying a CAS5 PC2-6400 kit such as this tbh.

thanks , but isn,t the Crucial memory DDR 8500 ? which would be better or not ?? :confused:
 
Crucial-Lexar is the retail brand name of Micron. Micron is like Intel or AMD for RAM chips - they are one of the biggest players in RAM chips. You will find their RAM chips in most other peoples RAM.

Crucial also have by far the best RMA service in the UK. It is fast and they don't mess you about.

However, because Crucial overclocks so well, it tends to get abused and it blows up. And then Crucial give you some new RAM. It's a great brand.
