How long do they usually take?

Will be sending my 2GB Ballistix off tomorrow (already called for an RMA #) as one stick's dead.

Good chance of getting the replacement by the end of the week?

I need to RMA mine as well (also got one dead stick). If I bought them as 2x1gb kit, do I need to send both sticks back, or can I just send one back and keep the other so I can keep my PC running?

PC 8500 2week old 1 stick has just died on me (blue screens and reboots for a couple of hours then reboot and pc refuses to swich on take out dead stick boots fine , was only running 444 @400mhz as well (my e6600 dos'nt l ike high fsb's) still i have 2gb left when i ring them up which will be now :) ps which of the two number shuold i ring 0800 013 0330 or 01355 586 100 ?

I just recieved another 2 Gbs of Crucial 5300 ram and when i add them to my pc with the other 2 Gbs of the same ram the pc suffers severe slow down and takes about 10 mins to just boot into windows vista but when i remove the 2 new sticks of ram the pc goes back to normal fast performance so needless to say im gnna have to RMA these back. A bloody annoyance bt hey thats the way it goes.

Do they really die this easy? Think im changing my minds. Family pc built for parents who dont believe i can build one so i cant have it keep dieing every 3 months lol.

What's it like with just the 2 new sticks?

I wouldn't take the chance if it's not your system.

If you are still interested, I called them today to RMA mine and they said that they wouldnt be sending out any more dispatches until at least Wednesday due to the Royal Mail strike.

I ordered 2 more sticks from OCUK today, so Im sending mine off when the new ones arrive, and then when they all come back I guess I will just have to live with 4gb! Darn.

Another RM strike?!

Wednesday today, or Wednesday next week?

Edit: I sent them off today anyway so there's not much I can do either way.

Running on a 533MHz 512mb stick at the moment. :(

dont let them fob you off about royal mail strikes, firstly a lot of people still get there post as they get either management or scab labour to do deliverys, secondly the strike only affects delivery staff and not those manning post office counters, so theres no reason they cant still post stuff out.

Im just relaying what I was told-from what Ive heard Crucial are normally pretty good with the speed of their RMAs, and I dont see what they would stand to gain from delaying sending someone their RAM for a week...

Strictly speaking, there will be no more postal deliveries until next Wednesday.

But, as mentioned above, some people will get post at some stage before then.
