Crucial

How can you say they are notoriously bad, in 8 years of building computers and using Crucial memory I have never had a problem, but I do not overclock.

a lot of people have had probs with their recent D9 based ram.... i've had 2 sets die on me!

Just got one back from return (not bad turnaround, only got sent off monday), interesting to see how long these last.

I've just sent 2 sticks of ballistix off yesterday lol typical!

How long does the Crucial warranty process take roughly? Just wondering when I will get my flashy lights back :D

I've only had one stick of Ballistix fail out of 4 that I've ever used (a DDR and DDR2 kit). Then again, most of the Crucial RAM I've used or installed for people has been the standard consumer type.

did a RMa this week,
Posted it to them wednesday
They received it thursday and shipped it friday
i recieved in today (saturday)

excellent if u ask me

I'm about to send back 4 sticks of ballistix 1066 ram...3rd time. Im going to spread them out onto 2 pc's from now on...i just dont trust it to work 4 sticks at a time, seems to kill it.

4 X 1GB Ballistix Tracers still going strong here. At stock speeds though currently, and only using 1.8v bios, and using an 80mm fan to cool them!

Haha bad batch? :p Btw.. if you bought the sticks somewhere around 8 months ago - they do not supply them any more and will send you the updated version (basically the same but runs at 2v instead of 2.2v)

i bought set of sticks about a year ago and never have i ever came across a pair of sticks that OC like these, i'm sure they must be 1066 sticks and not 800 cos these little buggers easily clock to 1100+ and are stable fs i can even hit 1275 with 5-5-5-15 timings. real shame that their more recent single sided sticks have been so bad.

argh! my replacement sticks are pants!

Cant even hit 1066 5-5-5-15 on 2.2V! Thats with 800Mhz 4-4-4-12 stock.

My Anivs (sadly deceased) could hit 1200Mhz+ 5-5-5-15 on 2.2V
