Hey guys,

I was looking at getting one of these bags to carry my new Olympus E500 around in. Ideally, I would want it to fit the body with 14-45 lens attached, 40-150 lens, battery charger and other essentials.

Has anyone got this bag? Any comments would be very welcome!

I've got the stunner and manage to squeeze all of the following in it.

Canon 350D
Sigma 10-20
Tamron 24-135
Canon 50mm 1.8 (at a push but it is possible)
3 spare batteries
4 CF cards
Lens cleaning pen
Remote release cable
Battery charger though I don't usually carry it.

Looks good and it's a strong bag too. Gets the thumbs up from me.

Thanks dude. Just out of interest, can you fit the 350D in with a lens attached, as well as your other stuff?

Yes, I always have either the Sigma or Tamron lenses attached to the camera when in the bag.

If you want to test one out (I see you live in London) there's a camera shop on New Oxford Street. Without mentioning the name it's not the high street chain shop but it's the one directly opposite. They stock Crumplers and let me stack the bag full of my stuff to make sure it all fitted before I went and bought it cheaper online.

Hope that isn't too much of a reference to a competitor. Please remove if it is.

The £20 Hama one I use (And rG iirc) can fit the 350D/20D/30D with any lens up to 200mm + spare lens (70-200 f4L size) + a small lens like the kit lens size + flashgun + diffuser + any amount of memcards and cloths + spare batteries as many as you need in the front pockets plussensor cleaning bits in the front pocket :p

For £20 it's biult very well and protects everything!

Okay, I've got my stunner now, and its a lovely bag - can fit all my gear in there nicely. However, what the hell is up with that massive plastic clip on the end of the shoulder strap? What am I supposed to do with it? I adjust the strap so that I dont have the bag around my knees but I have masses of strap dangling out of the end! I really do not understand how you are supposed to adjust this thing - do you have to cut the remaining strap off?

Please someone help! :o

i have the same with my stunner, i assume you have to leave it there, dont think cutting the strap would be a good idea

Do not cut the strap. ;)

I have one of these very nice bags for my Contax gear. As I mostly wear it across my body diagonally rather than just over my shoulder, I use that clip to reduce the length of the strap quickly and slightly, leaving a small loop showing. Works a treat. :)

But I can have it on my shoulder with the bag at hip height and I'm only 5 foot 8. I pulled some of the strap through that D hoop (about 10 inches) and put the tail of it through the hoop of material you can find on one end of the Stunner. Then I use that clamp to make a final adjustment of 2 - 6 inches depending on whether it's across my body while I'm wearing a jacket, or just on my shoulder occasionally.

Hope that helps. It seems to work and I don't end up with masses of strap left over. :D

If you must cut it I would think taking a lighter to it afterwards wouldn't be bad idea to fuse/melt the end strands together. I've not done it on mine though so I can't recommend it. As others have done I've looped the end of mine back into the clip and it has proved handy to carry an extra lens, if you have a separate carry case for it, or for stuffing a small umbrella through if you're not too sure what the weather's going to do.

I've got that Hama backpack!

In it i've got:

20D
70-200mm F/4 L + Hood
50mm F/1.8
18-55mm Kit Lens
Smartdisk Fotochute 20GB
Sto-Fen Diffuser
430EX
3 CF Cards
Lens cloths etc
All manuals

Thanks for the tips guys. Sorry to be annoying, but could you take some photos and post them here of how you have looped the strap back into the clip, as my clip doesnt seem to close with extra strap in there! Cmon, any excuse to take some snaps eh?! :)
