Cryo PC issue

I bought a Cryo PC back in march and after having a small issue on start up that they resolved soon after I got it all was working ok. The problem was sometimes the computer would nt start up properly, after turning it on it would start/stop/start/stop in approximately 3 second cycles and the only way to correct it was turning the power supply off and on again then it would start in a "safe" mode which was not using the overclocking settings. This has been happening more regularly and has now got to the point where I cant start it at all using the saved "CRYO Boost" settings. If I try to load/save the settings it just goes back to the start/stop/start/stop fiasco. I dont really want to go in and start changing things as I dont really know what I'm doing. I had a read through the overclocking basic "sticky" and learned a lot but that did nt really give me any answers. Sorry for the long post!!

Sorry, forgot to add my specs

Graphics card: AMD FirePro V5900 2GB Graphics
Power supply: Corsair CX 430W
Cooling: Corsair H60 Water Cooler
Mother board: Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD4 Intel Z68 Express Socket 1155
CPU: Intel Core i7 2700K SandyBridge Quad Core 3.5GHz
RAM: Corsair Vengeance PC3-12800 1600MHz (2x 4GB)

Anybody know what I can do to fix this issue please!!!?

its failing to POST, could be for many reasons.

does the system run fine at stock? ie if you remove the overclock on the processor (i doubt the ram is ocd)

if so the processor has an unstable overclock. its very easy to overclock sandybridge tbh. i would find the option for multiplier and set it to 42 for a 4.2ghz oc. if not stable on stock volts then bump them slightly (0.05 increments).

if you stress test with prime95 and it doesnt crash, great, but if temps are above 80c I would consider dropping the oc down.

all the above is if its caused by and unstable oc.

it could also be a failing graphics card, dead pump on your cooler, dodgy ram etc

Thanks for the reply! It is stable without the overclock, the cryo PC overclock is 4.8GHz and I'm pretty sure it's 1.2*volts. Is 4.8 asking a bit much of it? I've never seen temps higher than 60c in normal use (3d cad) when it was actually working! if I try 4.2 what voltage is a good starting point?
Thanks again, Martin

Hi
I have 2 Cryo setups. both work OK with the occasional glitch. One had a starting problem due to a water cooling fault. The machine would start and then stop. Something to do with the temperature sensors not working properly. At a later stage the pump bearings melted solid and had to be replaced. There is still an occasional problem where it stops and I have to switch off and on again. This happened a lot until It was suggested that I keep the power connection live (I was shutting down and turning the mains wall socket off). It still happens, but not so often. It is related to the water cooling system.

My Cryos both have a "Default" lower spec Bios profile in addition to "Cryo-Boost. Does yours ? ". You could experiment by saving your existing profile with another name and using that to experiment on.
I have played with the overclocking on the other machine and Cryo did not recommend more than 1.55 volts on the CPU.
Incidentally, I have had problems with a fancy screen saver crashing one of the machines.
