CryoFuel Clear - Instant clouding

So after rinsing my loop with distilled water a couple of times and running overnight to check for leaks, it was fine.
I then re-fillled with CryoFuel clear and as it has filled the bottom radiator it has turned white.

Notice how the top tube (which is full and loops round to the bottom) is clear, its only where it has gone through the radiator that it has changed colour.

Just to confirm all rads are copper, not aluminium

The bottle is marked 20.04.2020, is there any chance that this is out of date?

Looks like its already causing precipitation. Is this a drain, strip and toothbrush out everything in there?

glycol based coolants are bad for the plasticiser used to make the soft tubing well soft. i had the same issue with all glycol based coolants i used but mayhems clear tubing was best for me. i've been using distilled water and mayhems biocide for over a year and not a single bit of clouding since :)

Thanks Guys.

The tubing was all taken a single 3M roll of EK Duraclear.

In the end I decided to strip it all down and replace the tubing. Note the left hand tube which I wiped out with the paper on the very left.
The bottom of that tube is now clear, so I don't think it was staining.

that tissue is green after wiping it. that looks to be algae growth. is your system in direct sunlight at all during the day?

@Mr Mcgoo neither. It has been running as a standard AIO for the last 9 months (according to Shift - An ongoing tale | Overclock.net) with black tubing.

This is a rebuild into a custom loop, with an extension for a 2nd rad and provision for GPU cooling should they ever start becoming available :-) The clear tubing was run for about 24 hrs with distilled and it was beautifully clear, then drained and the EK fluid added.

i see. plasticiser is the reason for cloudy tubes. run just distilled water and biocide. should stay clear for a long time.

I had issues with Cyrofuel. I flushed my loop out several times with distilled water and then when I added it it broke down and went all bitty (cyrofuel purple). Ended up ha I got to clean my blocks out and replacing some of the hard tubing. Went back to mayhems not had any problems since.

It was going well, then the pump shutdown at 4am. Thank god for thermal cut off.
Found it the next morning idling at a cool 72c

I'm beginning to feel like a complete noob here, oh yeah I am.

Full strip, clean and rebuild time. Ordering some Mayhems Blitz, and new tubing.

<-- not enough posts yet for free delivery ;-)
