Looks pretty good.

Anyone played it ?
Whats it like ?

It's fairly cheap on the big river so I'm thinking of buying it.

How would it run on a Q6600, 4GBDDR2, 8800 GT @ 1680x1050 ?
 
Q6600 at stock? If so with your spec I reckon it'll be ok. A few slow downs in places but adequate. Textures and settings etc dropped down a little lower med / high.
 
Got a Q6600 @ 3ghz, GTX 280, 8GB of RAM and run it at 1920x1200 and it does't tend to get above 30fps in the highest settings. It's not that great either - its ok but repetative and the areas all look the same and tend to get repeated over and over.
 
i played it but did not finished it it drags your system to your knees well i was using ati card so it might work better with nvidia i was using q6600 @ 3.6 4 gig of ram and 4870 1 gig. sometimes fps dipped down bellow 30 and it was on dx 9.
 
The game seems to hate high resolutions. I can run everything maxed or lowest at 1920x1200 and get the same results. Drop to lower resolutions and it shoots right up to 60+ FPS. Game seems a bit crap sadly :(.
 
I have it running fine but after playing the first 20 minutes I am absolutely bored to hell. I can't think of one good reason to keep playing it other than the cash outlay. I expected so much more of it.

there u go all highest settings dx 9 on dx 10 i had some strange textures corruptions probably because on dx 10 u need a nvidia card for physix.

did not complete the game . as weapon handling was a bit off. i might try again some day
 
Cryostasis story

i just completed Cryostasis but don't get the story 100% can sum one brake it down for me? plezs lol. p.s. the game was awesome and the graphics were so cool
 
Bought it some time ago and like it quite a lot. Put the game on hold a little while ago, came up against a tricky situation (don't want to spoil it for others) and simply can't get past it! Will definitely recontinue playing it sooner than later.
 
Tried it and didn't really like it.

Firstly it annoyed me that, with the gamepad connected, it kept slightly moving so I had to disconnect it to play.

Secondly, it just wasn't that good. I played around 15 minutes into it on a mates machine and it was just boring. Nothing really happened. It was also very slow to move around.

Just my 2p worth.

Game doesn't seem that interesting to me, after the first few areas nothing really changes much, first game to really use a little more than simple physx effects but the implementation didn't seem that great. Graphics are pretty dodgy too, looks nice at first glance but the more you look at them the worse they seem. A lot of stuff is very low detail with just some better shader effects slapped hap-hazardly on top.

Funny! you used to go on about how good the effects are.
