crysis 1 dx11??

is there a patch you can download for crysis 1 steam verision for dx11?

No dx11 in crysis 1, dx10 was as far as it went and was very new at the time.

ok thanks does the steam version come with dx10? or do i have to install it my self.

Far as im aware it should have it off the bat.

If you're running vista or 7, then Crysis 1 starts on DX10 by default.

Its in the windows game folder, right click the crysis icon and it should say play in dx9 or dx10 modes. Theres really not much difference between them visually on the standard game.

thanks yes win 7. is they any good sites for getting the graphic mods ect? also for steam version.

Put all settings to max. IIRC All settings HIGH is DX9. Settings with Enthusiast is DX10. Dont take my word for it, not had crysis installed for ages

High can use DX10 too but DX9 cant use enthusiast.
The only other difference is multiplayer. DX10 multiplayer you can destroy trees where as DX9 multiplayer they are permanent.

There was a patch you could download that would allow you to use all the settings on DX9. it wasn't hard-coded but a ploy to drag people onto vista.
