I am finding that I am (after the latest hd and dx11 patches) getting poor performance all settings ultra 1080p. Now I know this is a fairly demanding game but I have seen others running it smoother than me with weaker systems. I used to get an average of 70 fps (pre patches) with 35 at the very lowest, but after the patch I average around 25 fps and have lows of 10 fps is this seems a ridiculos performance loss is this what I should be getting? I have heard some claim to barely see a performance hit at all. One suggested problem was that tesselation is poorly optimised on ATI cards and I should disable it but I thought I would ask you guys to see what you think.

The game uses 1.5gb of VRAM at that settings/res combination so your being very limited now due to your cards only having 1gb each (so 1gb in total due to xfire).

Should post in the crysis 2 thread though tbh.

Incorrect. Im running 2x5850s at ultra settings at 1080p and i get between 45-55fps in the most demanding firefights outdoors with occasional blip to 35fps.

His cards are better than mine and should perform better. Uninstall ati drivers and profiles and install the latest batch. Im running 11.6 with 11.6 profile.

Yeah but Arclite, do you have the high res texture and DX11 patches installed? They slow performance noticeably

With a single 5850 at 900/1200 I get anything from 10-30fps depending on the location. It seems to run a lot better on nvidia cards.

I have found something very odd when I turn down objects from ultra to extreme (takes out tessalation I think) but keep everything else on max I gain 45fps on average ie on corperate collapse I go from 25 average to 65-70. Also with regards to dx11 and the difference between cards I remember there being an article in either pc gamer or tomshardware saying that ATI cards performed better than their nvidia counterparts in the heaven benchmark by a considerble amount so I don't think it makes sense for it to nividia cards to be performing better than ATI cards because of the dx11 patch, unless it was entirely optimised to Nvidia...

At ultra everything with the high res pack and dx11 enabled = I doubt it
