Interesting read, but I remember PC Gamers review of Far Cry 2 when the reviewer said it was awesome but it turned out to be out to be pap, I will wait for some players views on this one before I make a purchase.

Links working for me. Still not convinced by the choice of setting, although that screenshot with the dropship and troops does make it seem closer to the original atmosphere than I expected.

I really enjoyed a lot of FC2, it was just the infuriating enemies that kill you always no matter what, even if you haven't done anything (yet!). A lot of good stuff in there too though.

I enjoyed FC2. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the ridiculous respawning checkpoints that reset if you walked 20 yards down the road and came back again. If you can learn to ignore that (and the fact stealth is broken) its still a enjoyable game.

That is one game I would like to mod one day, otherwise I won't go back to it (vanilla).
