Crysis 2 Requirements

Searched for this and couldn't find it... So thought I might as well post it as I'm sure people will be interested....

For the lazy people:

Crysis 2 Minimum System Requirements
Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Athlon 64 X2 2GHz or better
Nvidia 8800 GT or higher
2 GB RAM
Windows XP/Vista/7
9 GB free hard disk space
Internet connection

Minimum means nothing.....but to be fair, recommended are always half as good as you need anyway.

If I can play this on high settings smoothly with my 260-216 and a Q6600 I'l be very disappointed. Crysis was brilliant because it couldn't be maxed on current gen hardware.

Still the real interest for this will lie where the first has, the modding community. If everything at max is being chomped through by 2600k's and GTX560s, you can be sure there's plenty waiting in the wings to see what the CryEngine3 can really do.

As am I -- Crytek said they couldn't be arsed to use better textures for the Pc versionas they can get away with using the same ones as consoles. BUT they did say they're still fully open to modding support.

So we could see some tasty stuff quite soon after launch I thinks

So when the game comes out on the PC, theres no option to turn up the textures to very-high like on Crysis and Warhead?

Do you have a link for the statement Crytek made regarding the textures on the PC version?

I think the PC version textures will be a little better as they won't be upscaled from a poor res like in the console versions -- although this is all just what I've heard from this forum in the past weeks
