Hello,

got the demo from steam 2 days ago, and maxed it out on my 2560x1440 monitor. I thought, well it looks good, but 35-40 frames? hmmmmm.. then i noticed that one GPU was running 99%, BUT the other only 2% (two percent)

Anyone else have this on :GTX 480 SLI.?, as with both GPU's maxed out i'd probably get 50+frames (at my high resolution). All ingame settings are MAXED out ("hardcore" - and so forth)

You most likely have to wait for the game to be released for nvidia to add the crysis 2 SLI profile/support to there drivers..

Have you tryed adding your own crysis 2 sli profile ??
 
Dunno why nVidia doesn't make it more obvious (tho I think theres a button in the control panel of newer drivers to check) as theres often updates for newly released games/demos.
 
i was gonna say i got the sli profile of a site and its great im getin constants 60fps with 4xaa and 16 af at 1920 1200 hardcore settings on the multiplayer demo ....

It's not a port its a multiplatform game released at pretty much the same time, I suggest you learn the meaning of port.
 
It's a port, check the demo out, press stat to play lol, GFX are console quality. Because it's multi-platform does not mean the PC does not get a port, man where you been the last few years, nearly all multi plat games are ports on PC.
 
No, it's a demo and it's called a placeholder. The graphics are hardly console quality either. The multiplayer side of things were made by a different developer so wait and see the full game before making such sweeping statements.
 
Look crytek have developed crysis 2 for consoles first and second for PC, you will see this on release, linear levels, poor GFX compared to crysis 1 and a COD ripp-off multiplayer that does it nowhere neear as good as COD.
 
cod is **** it should have stopped making them ages ago they are as bad as halflife the cod series is a money spinner and nothing esle....
 
I was disappointed with the demo, but how much did we hype it before hand? I think we were always going to be disappointed, no matter how good it was. Also, I don't think the demo will represent the finished game, but who knows.

The graphics certainly aren't of console quality, and if this had been any other game they would have been seen as pretty good graphics overall (much better than COD, a bit better than BC2 etc), but because it's Crysis everyone goes a little OTT and says that the graphics are ****, without thinking 'actually...'

Oh, and to the comment about Halflife being nothing but a money spinner: GTFO.

How can you compare COD with Halflife? They have been making HL3 for about 25 years now - not like COD with a new one that's exactly the same as the previous one every year.
 
thats wot i meant a bout the cod games they bring one out every year to concide with christmas(money spinner they shoulda stopped making them after mw2 its a goat with loads of milk in it...
