Think I will be able to run crysis 2 on High settings?

i have the 768mb version of that card. you will definitly want more graphics power to run crysis at very high at 1920 x 1080, because i struggle to run it at 1360 x 768 at very high (i get between 25 and 32FPS when i overclock my card)

i'll post a better spec in a moment for you at a similar budget

A GTX460 is around the ATi 6850 speed.

ok, putting together the most similar rig to yours i could, i make your budget about £685, including delivery.

with that money, this is what i'd do if you want to run crysis:
(it actually comes in a lot cheaper somehow)

*edit*
I am more than confident your wasting your time as this is a pre-built pc he has ordered;)
ah, didnt realise that. also didnt notice the pre-overclocked CPU. any idea what prebuilt one it is (if its from OcUK)

to the OP: dont be scared to build your own PC, its really easy. theres also some guides here to help you do it, and some very helpful people if you really get stuck

ah right. just seen the OP's other thread as well saying he's already ordered it.

since you already ordered a prebuild PC, and want to play crysis on the highest settings possible, i think you will find this thread very useful: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18235428

someone went and tested a lot of mods for crysis, which can increase framerate for very little graphics reduction (sometimes he got a graphics and framerate increase)

Bit late now mate if it won't guess you'll find out what it's capable of when you get it.

Guess the gpu is the biggest factor here. You could always sell the 460 and buy a 480 to give you a bit more oomph.

So, he will be getting around 30FPS average with that card and that really fast CPU.

thats enough for smooth gameplay.

Didn't buy the system to play crysis 2 initially , but it would be a bonus if it would play it at a respectable setting,

just wanted an opinion or two.

thanks.

I get very smooth gameplay with crysis 2 at 1920x1080 at the highest settings, with a Q8300 and a 768mb gtx 460 OC. Runs much better than crysis 1 apparently? So the OP will be absolutely fine :) The new drivers made a massive difference

Judging from these Crysis 2 benchmarks here a GTX 460 at stock clocks should be enough for 1680 x 1050 resolution, anything more and you will need something more powerful to play it on the very highest settings.
