Maybe late to the party but got hold of a really cheap copy of Crysis 2 and installed to my laptop, hooked it up via HDMI to my 42" plasma and was pleasantly surprised how good it ran and how nice it looked...

Played the entire game until i completed it and honestly, apart from it trying to be Half Life 2 I felt, game was really good and I enjoyed it with the 360 pad support...

Havent been this engrossed by a PC game for some time, pleased I got it for PC and not PS3, graphics I felt were fantastic...

Well, positive post compared to all the PC gaming is dead threads, and even I never thought i'd play a PC game to the end ever again, i'm so convinced PS3 is the only way for me to play games... lol no honestly I do..!!

Mostly as PS3 is just so easy to plug a gamepad in and off you go... On a HDTV a PS3 is just a quick and easy way to play games...

I've got a gaming rig and a laptop but just love having big TV gaming with a gamepad... Didn't think a i5 laptop with a 1GB 5650 would handle Crysis 2... It did to my surprise..

Ok I ended up playing 1280 x 720 max details however compared to a PS3 res was no lower and the graphics were maxed out - so i enjoyed it. not up the ubber spec high res boys but played fine for me, and was cheap as well..

Plug gaming rig into TV, Buy 360 pad. Problem solved.

Resign the PS3 to Blu-ray/GoW/Gran Turismo/Uncharted/dust gathering duties. Its all its good for.

edit: having more closely read the OP it seems you already have a 360 pad and if you have a gaming rig why were you playing Crysis 2 on your laptop at 720 on the TV? Plug the gaming rig into the TV and whack it up to 1080.

Hope you ran it with the DX11 and hi res testure pack!

Its a right hassle lugging a tower system downstairs to play on a TV... girlfriend would go spare if I did that anyhow.

1280 x 720 is perfectly fine however maybe as a treat I'll lug the desktop downstairs when girfriend is out lol
