Crysis Almost Beyond Beta Stage

Cryteks CEO, Cevat Yerli has confirmed in an interview with 'Level Up' that Crysis is nearing the end of the beta development stage, and that Crytek are on track for a November 16 release (better make that November 15).

They'll probs have it one of those Beta's with limited signups and hardly anyone getting in.

what's with everyones' obsession with betas? Rather have a demo myself.

There won't be a beta of Crysis.

Course we would all rather have a demo but beta comes before demo therefore the sooner we would get a chance to play it.

How/why would they give out a beta of a single player FPS?

It makes sense for multiplayer, online games..not single player though.

And why would you want to play a beta/unfinished version of a games just to get your hands on it earlier? What's the point? It'll partly ruin the full game for you. Same goes for the ET:QW beta that everyone is fussing over...i just don't get it. I'd rather wait for the final version and enjoy it that much more.

from a quick google most of the supposed crysis betas so far are either empty files, full of random crap or viruses
