crysis benchmark score ok?

I spent £700 and only get 47 odds FPS in the benchmark test :(. I feel robbed lol.

That's with an extra 500gb, cooler and new DVD writer though but still. I bought the 2900Pro when they were an amazing deal, 2 weeks later the GT arrives . I buy the GTX and then these crossfired 3870's start wiping the floor with my card. This is twice in about 4 months (bangs head). Good thing is that this GTX is crashing n games at stock with 100% fan so I might RMA it, get the new card and then sell it off brand new for the X2 and use the 2900Pro in-between.

Absolutely terrific turn around Rippling. You've certainly made me think about changing.

Honestly before you do anything consult the guys about how your overclocking there.....it might be your causing a bottleneck or fsb/mem mismatch . post another thread in overclocking with you bios version and settings and explain your problem. i'm getting 48 fps with my little fx-60 with an Ultra. so you need to look at that, not just keep blaming your GPU.

Well this kills the whole "CPU Cache doesn't make that much difference" arguement. I've got an X38 board with 4GB RAM and Crossfire 3870's (not quite so madly clocked) and I get 38fps :(

to be fair, it's all about balance. If you can afford 2 graphics cards, you can afford a top of the range CPU.

What was happening before was that people were getting e6850s and Q6600, partnering them with an average graphics card, and wondering why their games were slow.
