Howdo,

When I start up Crysis, all I get is a black screen. No sound or anything, until I press ctrl+alt+del. If I just click task manager cancel, it pops up a message saying the Crysis has died.

I have unistalled, run CCleaner and Eusing Registry Cleaner, then reinstalled, and I also moved my saves and profile info out so it had to make a new default profile, this didn't work either.

Any ideas? This effects the 64bit and 32bit version, and I have all the latest updates and drivers for everything, and it was working alright yesterday, and nothing has changed apart from now it isn't working.

It could be trying to play the intro videos, reinstall the game or a quicker fix would be to find the folder with all the intro vids and create blank text files of the same name as the vid file, renaming the original files to summat else. It may fix the problem and the game will start quicker too.

I've already reinstalled it, explained in the first post. :(

Going to try uninstalling and deleting everything, then reinstalling and just adding my final save in.

Do any other games have issues?

No point killing yourself reinstalling Crysis over and over if the problem lies elsewhere. Graphics drivers gone wonky for example.

Got it going in the end, uninstalled and searched for crysis, ea, electronic arts and crytek folders, deleted any I found, ran CCleaner and Eusing, then reinstalled.

The only think I moved across from my old install was my last save game.

It's still dodgy though, the FY-71 rifles just stay in the air when the KPA spawn, so there are KPA soldiers everywhere that can't do anything but run around, and when you kill them the rifles just drop to the floor.

Just installed Crysis Warhead, no trouble at all with it, apart from getting it to select 1920x1200 correctly, but I just changed it in the game.cfg and it runs noice. :D
