Picked up the Crysis pack in the summer sale. It runs great but every 30mins/1hour or so it will freeze for a few seconds and then CTD. I've had a google but it doesn't seem to be a common problem, obviously this game is quite old now but it would be nice to get it solid.

Any ideas?

Sorry to bump this but I'm completely stuck.

I've tried disabling my second monitor and that hasn't helped. Also today it's started crashing every 5-10 minutes, whereas before it was every 30 or so. I've noticed that it's only using one of my four cores, is that right? This is driving me mad.

I presume you've updated all the necessary drivers? AMD Calayst / Nvidia working ok with other games? What about reducing your card to stock levels if you have an overclock.

Not sure about the core usage though.

the original Crysis still crashes on my new rig, even with the patches...... so there you go, it's nothing to do with the drivers

I gave up on Crysis. It plays just fine, up to a certain point. It kept crashing at the same point in the same level, 'Core' just after you get locked inside the mountain and are 'swimming' about with the aliens. No matter how many times I reinstalled it, it crashes in the same damn place, *boom* green screen, looping sound and the PC needs a reboot.

Yes, my temps are fine and all my drivers, and other software, are fully up to date. I have no problems at all with any other games.
