Crysis - Crashing on startup (Steam Based)

I purchased Crysis and Warhead though steam the other week since I've just got a GTX295.

I was running benchmarks in it when my PC froze.. so I had to restart my machine using the button on the case.

Since then Crysis has not worked.. I don't even get the launch screen.

Warhead on the other hand works fine.

Any ideas?

I'm now going to try and find a replacement exe file to see if that works...
 
When using cysis to benchmark I found the installation easily gets corrupted if there is a crash. When testing my system I ended up doing over 10 reinstalls during the week.

As above, I'd try to reverify your cached files. If that doesn't work, uninstall then reinstall.

I've tried verifying the intergrity of the files.. I've tried reinstalling.

I'm now going to try and copy over a exe file of the same version to see if that works, then I'm going to try and patch it again.

Failing that.. windows reinstall.. which to be quite frank.. takes the p*ss
 
I've tried uninstalling and re-installing COD too, unfortunately no success! :(
Hoping to get a new drive soon so Windows re-install is on the cards :)
