Crysis crisis, stuck on Relic

I am stuck on the Relic chapter.

I have completed the primary objective & I now need to Proceed to the excavation site but I can't seem to get anywhere near it and end up going round in circles, LOL

I had a look on this guide : http://www.mycheats.com/view/section/754/20114/crysis/pc

but still doesn't help me as I can't find the path from the northeast shore of the river that is mentioned

Can anyone help before I go insane. :confused:

have you climbed up the rocks beside the waterfall?

EDIT: am i the only one that had no problem noticing that?

Just follow the green arrow couldn't be any simpler.

Tried that rocks too steep to jump up (using strength) & just keep sliding back down.

Not thinking of the previous level are you? as you climb the side of the waterfall in that one.

This is the one with the rope bridge? As said, follow the green arrow, but bear in mind that the contours on the map show the excavation site is higher than the rest, so you have to go around and up.

I had problem with it aswell, i think i went back to the base with the broken bridge and jump down to the waterfall as i couldn't climb up the wall next to waterfall.

you stay on the right in the woods and make your way to the caves whys everyone talking about jumping down to the river?

Went to cave and tried to climb up and went inside and nothing.

I look to the otherside of the rope bridge I cliff jumped in into the river and swam down the right side of it and made my way round the back of the base.

Im surprised anyone got stuck, you have a huge wide open area yet you stick to the immediate area. Imagine you were there in real life, there's a dead end/waterfall or....a large river/forest/shore behind you..
