Hey everyone :)

I recently downloaded the "Crysis Maximum Edition" from D2D, but I am having a few problems.

When I click the Crysis icon on my desktop it takes a long time for the game to begin- the longest was 10 minutes. Sometimes I have to click the button several times.

Crysis also sometimes crashes when I play it, and it's getting very annoying.

One last thing, it always opens in Windowed mode, and that can get rather annoying.

Could anyone please help me?

Looks as if I have the most recent version, as none of the patches will install, they say that the patch is already there.

I'm having the same loading issues with Warhead :/
 
Try running the game in DX9 mode. Maybe try using XP Virtualisation if you're running Win 7. It ironed out some of the crashes.

Whats your hardware setup by the way?
 
Are you running the 64bit version? If so, switch to 32bit. The 64bit version of Crysis is buggy and performs badly.
This only applies to Crysis, not crysis warhead.
 
Can someone post their crysis config that makes it look all pretty and run really good?

Also set anti aliasing quality to its highest setting.

Well yes... but it doesn't LOOK as nice as it used to with whichever config it was. I'm sure it was [TW]Fox who posted it originally.
And I'm sure it was stuck in DX9 mode back then..and still looked better than what I'm presuming is DX10 mode.
 
Sure they didn't use a mod to make it look better? There's a couple of nice Crysis mods out there.
 
Was defo stuff to put in an autoexec.cfg file.
But a mod will do, if i can find a nice one.
 
Could be, 'Wes... the one i'm thinking of looked like that, but had all kinds of statistics (fps, #lights etc.) displayed too. I'll give that a go, thanks.
