Hi Im looking for some advice on what to do next

Atm in dx9(xp) maxed out no aa with the dx10 effects hack Im getting around 13-20fps at 1920*1200 its playable but not exactly smooth.even before trying the dx10 hack FPS still were bad.

My specs are
Dell 24 inch monitor 1920*1200 res
[email protected]
4gigs 6400 ram
single 8800GTX oced 630/1000/latest beta drivers

Should i sell my 8800GTX and buy 2 GTs now ?

Should I wait for the 9800GTX to come out ?

or should I wait and see if Crytek patch the final build of the game to help with fps problem/better drivers for nvidia ?

thanks

SLI doesn't work on Crysis atm, nVidia said it will eventually, but what boost you will get is anyones guess.

Personally just stick with what you have now.

Wait for next gen cards.

It just seems that the Crysis Engine is one greedy swine!

patch and better drivers.......if that doesnt work then wait for a 9800 maybe....atleast thats what im doing

Yeah, the next true gen of Nvidia/ATI cards will be awesome for Crysis, because Nvidia & ATI know that it's going to be *the* benchmark for their next gen.

Slightly OT, but seeing the prices of the 8800GT on overclockers i'm very tempted. However i'm worried that my CPU isn't up to the task of running the game either.

Is it worth me chucking in a 512MB 8800GT or would my Opteron 175 (running at 2.75Ghz) bottleneck my system to the point where it isn't worth it?

what's your problem with the way it runs now? my system is similar and it runs as i would want it to, no stutter and smooth as you like,

I am at a lower res tho 1680x1050,

I had the same question in mind earlier. Ive now decided to run the game in HIGH settings and buy the new 98 GTX when it comes out and play through again on VERY HIGH. Seems the best bet.
