Corrupt Sound Cab file, I'm infuriated Just brought my disk this morning and this! I'm going to go on a killing spree!!!

Yet again the pirate copys win *goes to look for torrent file*

Have you tried copying the DVD to HDD and run it from there ?
Also what OS are you running ?

Google brings up a fair few responses.
It seems to happen mostly on Vista, but XP brings up errors too, but less occasionally, it doesn't seem to be a disc problem.

Its Vista 64-Bit, tired copy to hard-drive, still doesnt work.
Installed o.k on my XP laptop but I want to play the 64-Bit version.

If I tired to extract the SoundCab files it throwing an error on WinRar also says its corrupt

I got windows vista 32 bit and never had a problem installing the game. Make sure to clear out all your temporary internet files. Defragment, and make sure you got plenty of free hard drive space.. Make sure your disc drive is clean of dust.

from here.

Try running both CCleaner and disc cleanup.

I am surprised by how many people are having this problem, different .cab errors too, it's not just a certain file.

If you have the dvd are you allowed to download it through torrent?

No wonder so many people download instead of buying if they get it before release and it actually works from download!
