Hi Guys,

Just about to start and finish Crysis. Why? Cuz i simply haven't finished it yet.

Worth me installing any mods before starting? I see a lot of high res / realistic mods but unsure which is seen as the best?.

I've a beefy machine so would like it looking pretty good.

Cheers

The Natural mod is supposed to be good. Refines the graphics and tweaks some settings.
I've not really compared before and after - but it does look good.
If I remember correctly it makes nightime darker too - so you actually have a reason to use the night vision!

+1 for the natural mod.

Any mods to get rid of the space ship section :( spoilt the game play for a while for me that part . liked the rest of it creeping about in the jungle like a super rambo = mint

Ye the start of both games are the best bits. I get bored once the aliens show up.

I'm glad this was posted. About to get a 580 so want to run this bad boy as best I can, I have an [email protected], 6 gig ram and a SSD.

I can only find Natural Mod downloads that are 2 years old, is this the right one?

I've tried a few. Realifesis was good once I reduced the depth of field slightly, but the skys were all wrong(on the snowy level it was still rendering a blue sky which should be overcast if its snowing). The Natural mod was good too, but now I'm running my own custom config.

I've seen many threads and mods for Crysis but what I would like to see is a mod that makes the game photorealistic, and if it is just a config then the person showing it actually telling you how to do it rather than just some guy showing off his unbelievable graphics on youtube but not telling people how he did it or where to get the mod or config from.

Ok, well this thread inspired me to do a little research. I have come accross a hi def foliage mod, a texture mod by rygel and both of these coupled with a extreme quailty mod apparently yeild great results. I'm going to give it a go today and see what happens.

UPDATE - Well, I've installed the Hi Def foliage mod and its definitely an improvement. I tried the Extreme quality mod but it didn't look any different from my custom config and just lowered the framerate so uninstalled. I'd like to make the game look photorealistic and have seen some excellent videos of people playing the game with it looking as near to real life as it could get, but as I said every video I have seen the author conveniently ignores other posters who are asking what mod/config he is using and where to get it from.

Ok, it seems I wasn't using the extreme quality mod properly as you have to use the sandbox editor to get it to work. Also, it adjusts other things like head bob, and adds slow mo and other functions I do not want. Basically I want to play Crysis as was intended with the most realistic graphics possible. Any other suggestions with screenshots?
