Crysis Multiplayer Beta now on Fileplanet

Im considering making an xp partition and going through that pain in the ass proccess of getting vista and xp to dual boot to see the xp performance. Worthwhile? =/

True, but there is a memory leak problem that affects Vista badly. Lots of people are complaining of performance issues in Vista, basically due to it not being officially supported in the beta. As of yet.

Not sure about the memory leak, ain't heard of that but Vista taking up more memory than XP for games was reduced in the last set of hotfixes. :eek:

The 8800GTS memory bug (if that's what you meant) is fixed now IIRC with the 163.17's.

Its an actual memory leak in the code that affects Vista for some reason. Only happens sometimes after playing for long periods of time. Xp doesn't get affected as far as i know.
 
I really hope the performance of the demo is upto snuff, just have to look at the vid below and the game seems to be flying along. Only thing is its displayed on an lcd tv so that could be 1024x7678 res for all we know, and i doubt penryn is much faster in gaming than current quads, possibly a few percent at most maybe?

the animations look swish!!, this game has clearly had so much effort put into it, I hope they manage to make the multiplayer fun in the final release.

Yea there is a few! Google "torrents" and use the first site in the list. :)

You don't. The last 2 or 3 batches will be public. They just do the first few for subscribers only to make money out of the fools who can't wait an extra few days. :p

Says on the website that all 4 batches are reserved for subscribers :o

I know the game is DX10, just saying that they need to go the whole way, and optimize it, as they promised, not just add 1 more feature, like bioshock.
 
Why do they make us wait when we have paid?

I cant understand why they do actually make us wait??? If it came today or in 3 weeks its still a Beta... :S

To create hype, and to get a smaller portion of players at first to diagnose multiplayer issues, probably. Even though Fileplanet has never worked for real beta-test feedback.
