Crysis Multiplayer Beta now on Fileplanet

NO, they built up the hopes of people, sign up add your email address and wait, now its "erm if you have 1 post you aint a fan" Seems like a publicity stunt.

well not really when everyone who signed up there within time has had a email through today!

and tbh hes kinnda right in the 1 post thing as people are only signing up for one thing on that site and no that doesn't make you a fan makes you a user of sorts

and i don't blame him for looking after the people that have been on that site posting etc as a community than just people that have signed up just to join the beta!!

and posting the link on ocuk is hardly a publicity stunt since hes been a active user here for a long time and has the link to the site in his title!!

lmao its funny how many people moan and wine about this they didn't have to being out a beta it could have been done in house and well half of you don't even deserve a free testing period for the amount you guys complain! either that or youve got nothing better to do!

I've posted on lots of sites, on crysis-online I posted over 80 times before I got banned(as I explained above), but on crysiseu about 4. So now i'm more than likely to not get a key, and apparently not a fan?

Well actually, they probably did have to bring out a beta, it's the easiest way to stress test with large amounts of people, they need the data.

like i said they could have done this in house with ea and a large amount of family and friends like a lot of companys do there is enough staff to test it

I can guarantee when this comes out and everyone gets their key, there will be more complaining about how slow it runs or how buggy it is. I think people are over hyping it a bit. Its a beta, and the majority of people wont be able to run it. I can just about run it with my specs, but people with GTX's and Quads cant even get above 20fps on low settings for whatever reason.

How many people do you think are gonna buy Crysis? I don't think EA and Crytek combined have tens of thousands of friends and family.

well then your not really thinking on a large scale with all the branch offices of ea since they could do a in house mp test with all members of the branching gaming dept under ea and yes that is tens of thousands of people! ea has 30 depts around the world thats not including all the game dev who publish there games through them all who could have been sent a copy with a nda to test !

Even still, what's easier, distribute it to people over the internet, to people who actually really want to play the game or set up huge amounts of office space with 10s of thousnads of PC's of all different specs and conncetion speeds to test how it runs? I'm thinking the first option mate. Presuming they actually want real-word data.

Why is it in every beta people who are part of the forums or community have some rights towards whether they get in beta, and should be treated differently from others.

This happens all the time, just because you took 60 seconds to type in registration info and lurk around doesn't automatically make you seem like the best beta tester out their for them nor making you guys the first to take part.

yes maybe but what im saying is they didn't have to do it if they didn't want 2

and you wouldn't have to setup a office full of pcs when you just send it out to other games companys that bring games out under ea its not hard i mean you think the moh team the nfs team etc etc don't swop over beta versions to play test!! lol

Because the Crysis online community have done so much in promoting this game? Crytek themselves have released about 2 official trailers. If it wasn't for the fansites, people going to GDC and uploading their own footage, etc. It wouldn't be as highly anticipated, atleast I don't think so.

but they would all have top of the line PC's.

It's not a matter of want it's a matter of need if they're to produce a quality product, which from many interviews seems to be their main aim. I don't think crysis are down to the p**s poor handling of this beta, it's most likely EA.

I don't get it, we signed up at crysiseu for beta keys, but then register at incrysis anyway?
HERE!
You might wonder how, what and where? InCrysis has formed a partnership program with IGN Entertainment that will enable the distribution of free beta keys for Crysis FanSites and thanks to them CrysisEu is now also officially in this Beta Affiliate program. A decent amount of Key requests has been sent to Matthew already , few more might be added soon so if you wanna be one of them who is included go and leave your details Now Please be aware that there is a limited number of keys available

What a load of ****, I was going to buy the game until that comment. Just because I didn't join a forum doesn't mean I want to play the game.
can't please everyone sorry :/ at the end of the day it is not me who will decide who will get a key and who won't all i was trying to do is make more souls happy by offering a extra chance !

cheers
