Crysis Multiplayer Beta now on Fileplanet

I dunno whats up with the crappy performance in this, thes a guy on hardforum with a 4ghz core 2 and 2 gtx in sli and getting 15fps in some instances.

For me it gets bogged down in some areas hitting around 11fps @1920x1200 vista 64. Really bad performing beta, meant to be to test out of the mp yet it seems for most its running like ass.

Runs ok here with 4xAA 1680x1050. Hovers around 20-50fps which fees higher for some reason in this game. Apparantly there is also a number of memory leaks etc. Im going to wait for the demo now.
 
I think it will get better.

Nvidia and ATI will probaiblly bring out specific drivers like they did with Bioshock for when the full game arrives.


Multiplayer is a lot of fun though. :)

As far as ive seen anti aliasing does nothing in this beta even with the new drivers.
 
I think Crytek are releasing a patch soon which fixes the settings defaulting back to low. Hopefully they will have more performance tweaks too. Not that im disappointed with the performance, but it could be better if they optimized it more.

Are you done with it now? Are keys transferable? If so could i be cheeky and ask to use yours?

With the specs in my sig it runs fine at 1280x1024 with everything on High and no AA. This is without the new Nvidia drivers which i my try later. Very good game. Looks much better in motion compared to the screenshots.

woo thats what i was looking for, 99.99999% match on hardware and the same res as me :D
 
YAY IM SO EXCITED :D
My fileplanet sub just ended - but I am seriously considering renewing it for this... would be kinda bad if phase 2 was for free users also though lol :p
 
really bad performance here, my driver stopped responding and recovered in game with the new 163.67 drivers. gonna reinstall drivers see what happens.

1680x1050 meduim settings

edit: running on 163.44 drivers seems to be fine now, although frame rates are not as good as id hoped gonna get a gtx now i think, or maybe a q6600 or both

Has anyone seen anything about when the second batch or keys are given out and who they might be for?
