Hey gang :D

I recently installed Crysis on my system and downloaded all the best mods I could find and I have it looking & running great. Except for one issue.

1. When I go to the Advanced tab in System Settings I change all settings to Very High

2. I then click the Apply button and go playing.

3. But if I then go back into the settings page the Texture Quality has mysteriously changed to Custom (everything else stays on Very High just like I set it)

Why wont the game "remember" that I want Texture Quality set to Very High? Why does it keep changing it back to Custom?

Would anyone be able to help? Thanks loads :) System specs in my sig :o

Oooooh colourful post :D

I..downloaded all the best mods I could find and I have it looking & running great

That would be why mate :D many mods add a system.cfg or autoexec file which includes configuration data. This data gets loaded up and applied every time crysis is started, so anything you've set up in game last time will be overwritten.

(it's entirely possible that what it shows as "custom" > "very high" :p)

what mods are you using?

If you load a new game with old settings texture and objects setting wont change.Try starting SP again :)

Thanks for the reply guys...where does the .cfg file sit? I dont see any under Electronic Arts/Crytek/Crysis

But ya'll are prob right its the mods that are doing this!

what mods are you using?

1.2 Patch
Crysis Intro Fix (removes all intro movies & cutscenes)
Minigun Mod (increases rate of fire)
Natural Mod (better vegetation, sky etc)

Any suggestions for more?
