Crysis on 3 monitors (video inside)

I'm going to have to strongly disagree I'm afraid.

I think non-native looks dreadful, unplayable in-fact, unless it's black-barred or windowed.

It's not down to the monitor either.

Yes it is down to the monitor because my 2007WFP displays 1280x800 / 1360x768 etc very nicely with you use ratio control.

It's great in games like Crysis where 1680x1050 kills the highest end of gfx cards at higher details.

Have been clearing out my back bedroom and have thrown out years worth of games mags as far back as the old c&vg mags with donkey kong etc. i had to have a look through them for nostalgias sake (god I cant spell) , Anyhow I look at some of the old games and with their blocky graphics (dungeon master etc) and it brought a lump to my throaght remembering how fantastic they were at the time. I guess I'm trying to say we are splitting straws here. Crysis looks amazing to me. I play at 1680x1050 and prefer to play native but you cant take it away ow fantastic things look these days even when not native.

Dont mean this post to argue with anyone just to say how excited I am at how far things have come

lol yeah i fully agree with you...i still remember playing my first game with a proper 3d card.
think it was a power vr card and some racing game that came with it....i remember thinking wow look how fast it goes.

ofcourse that isnt as far back as donkey kong but i dont think i ever owned that game lol.....i did play manic miner though sometimes when my bro let me play on his rubber keyed spectrum.
